Images in a Box

In our last painting, we drew items in a box that represent our past, present and future by using watercolors. First we collected 5 items and 1 cloth and placed them in a box. Then we set them up in the way wanted to draw them. After that we sketched the image in pencil. Next we colored it with watercolors.

Greek Gods Table

In this project we decorated a chair or small table using any medium and theme we wanted. I chose the theme of greek mythology by using paints, colored pencils and decoupage.  Decoupage is roughly the style of decorating something by painting images on it with glue. First, I bought a small table and primed it with primer paint in grey. Second, I traced images of the greek gods onto paper and colored them with colored pencils. Then, I cut them out. After that I painted the table using acrylic paints. Next, I glued images in place in preparation for the decoupage. Finally I decoupaged.

Snowflake

In this project we worked on recreation using paper. First, we took a piece of paper and folded it into a square. Next, we cut shapes into it like were making a snow flake. Then we glued the snowflake down on a piece of paper. After that we took the scrapes and place them back where they were.

Chin-strap Penguin in the Desert

For this drawing we drew an image of something in a place it doesn't belong using any medium we wanted. I chose to draw a chin-strap penguin in the desert. First, I sketched the image in pencil. Then, I colored it in with colored pencils.

From an Ants View

For this drawing, we used charcoal pencils to draw an image from an ants prepective. First we took a picture from ants prospective. Then we drew it with the charcoal pencils making sure to add proper shading. Then we sprayed it with hair spray to keep the image from smearing.

Book cover of Pandora's box

For this painting, we use could use any median we want to create a book cover for anything that is not a book. I chose Pandora's box and used gouache. First, I sketched the design. Second, I painted it with gouache. Finally, I framed it.

White Octopus with Rainbow Tentacles

For this painting, we had to create a color wheel in a non-cicular form using acrylic. I choose to create a color wheel octopus. First, I sketched an octopus in pencil. Then, I began to paint the tentacles making sure to have the in betweens right. After that I painted the head and background.

Owl in the Moon

For this drawing, we use charcoal pencils and a technic called rendering. First we took an image that we liked and put a 6 by 4 gride on it. Then we took a board and put the same 6 by 4 gride on it. After that we used the charcoal pencils and recreated the image, square by square. To do this we cut a square into a paper so we could focus on one square at a time. Then we sprayed the image with hairspray to make the charcoal not smug.

Abstract Line Art

In this project, we used acrylic paint to create a weird pattern. First, we doddled a pattern on to the paper. Next, we painted. The only rule was that the same color can touch or be two close. Then we pair a border around it. Finally we extend the image on to the border and painted it.
